Awesome is a much abused term in this day and age, but there are few others to adequately describe this magnificent system. This photo is taken somewhere in the vicinity of Groote Eylandt at around 6000 feet. We were soaring at a steady 80 or 90 knots - effectively flat out in a G109 - and decided to have a peek over the top to see if we could see Groote. We couldn't. There was secondary going to well over 10k behind it. Note the lennies.
