What makes for a "quality" site?
Before you submit your site to a ring, have a good look at several of the existing member sites and try to analyse why their sites have been accepted.
  • Content: The site should have considerable information on the subject - text, images, specifications etc.
  • Originality: The site should contain fresh information - not merely a collection of stuff "borrowed" from elsewhere on the net.
  • Design: Is the site easy on the eye, with straightforward navigation?
  • Loading: The pages should load reasonably fast, and be cross-browser compliant. If browsers other than the most popular are excluded by your code, or if the front page contains large sound or image files which cause the page to load slowly even with a fast connection, then your site is unlikely to be accepted.

  • Many of the sites in the ring are the result of weeks of work, and most of the better ones are being constantly developed. If you meet with rejection first time around, don't be too disappointed. Keep plugging away to improve your site, and when it's really starting to look the goods, resubmit.
