Have you had an email that looks something like this?
Dear webmaster,
I have visited your site and I think that the content
could be of interested to our web site visitors.
I am planning to place a link of your site on our site.
I wonder if we both sites could join hands to achieve win-win cooperation.
If I had a dollar for every one of these I've binned, I think I could just
about retire. Of course, there are always a few that are worthwhile, perhaps
from a related site with good ranking, or from a friend or fellow traveller.
But most are just spam.
Is the email addressed to you, but your email address is not on your
site? So where did they get your details? From a spam list, that's where.
