Internet New User FAQ's

404 Error
What is an Error 404? It means that the server cannot find the document you requested ( ie http://www.spagthorpe.com/missing.html). You should double-check the address and make sure it matches whatever source you copied it from exactly. Most servers are case-sensitive so ensure that you are typing the address in the proper case - Oils.htm ain't oils.htm .

Search Engines
I can't find my site in Yahoo!
Yahoo accept, for reasons obscure, only a very small portion of the sites submitted. Generally speaking, they favour sites with a dot com domain name, but only a tiny proportion of these submissions are accepted. One may "bribe" them by sending them a fistful of loot to review the site, but this is still no guarantee of acceptance.

I can't find my site in TinyTots search engine.
There's every chance it hasn't been submitted. There are thousands of search engines. Dropbears submits your site to all of the major and many of the minor engines. But not all of them.

I searched for "my business speciality" in AltaVista, and couldn't find my site.
Did you happen to notice how many hits you got for the word group "my business speciality"? Probably millions. Try something a little more specific.
