Mel Barton-Ancliffe of Murray Bridge, South Australia writes:

"This is a photo of my late Grandfather George Mayfield who was killed riding this motor-cycle on September 25th 1925 somewhere near Arnold, Notts. My Mother was two and a half years old at the time can still recall riding in the sidecar which was removed at the time of the accident. I would
appreciate your help in identifying the motor cycle. I have been told it is a Triumph Nutcracker but I believe this was a nickname. If there is any way of using this photo as a tribute to my Grandfather, I am sure my Mother would be over the moon."

Please contact Mel at mel<was at>ozhoo.com if you can help identify the motorcycle.
