Sod's Law extends to motorcycles as well as to tumbling, buttered bread. As someone who has all sorts of bikes to test, I can be sure that whatever vehicle is around on the day will be entirely unsuitable. If I'm nipping across London, there'll be a big tourer in the garage; if I need to ride to Paris, I will have a 125cc race replica parked outside.
