| 2. MONDIAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL
|
| A legendary name, gained in less than 10 years, working hard in the sporting activities, from 1948, year in which it pulverized all world records of velocity, till 1957, year in which, together with other two prestigious trade-marks, as Guzzi and Gilera, it withdraw from the world scene. Mondial, the "big" trade-mark, of the Boselli brothers, with "the mind" in Milan and "the heart" in Bologna, obtained in those 10 years so many successes, no one ever surpassed. The International Mondial Club was found in 1988 thanks to the authorization of mourned Count Giuseppe Boselli, with the aim to not forget su many glorious agonistic results and in the meantime make sure that the Mondial motorcycles, all over the world, keep on "driving". For this reason there have been accurated technical researches, to be able to recover spare parts, informations and advices for whom might need them.

Mondial Sport activity started in 1948, thanks to Boselli brothers and Oreste Dursani, a passionate motor-cyclist. In 1948 was manufactured the first motorcycle made by Mondial, a 125 motorcycle. It was a great success: World record as the ones on kilometres or on miles. At the beginning of the mid-century Mondial manufactured for the first time in the world a fairing motorcycle, thanks to a new technique of racing motors 125: aerodynamics and performances unthinkable at that time. There were many worldwide victories. At that time Boselli brothers took an important decision: they dicided to entrust the industrial production to Michelini Company of Bologna, maintaining the duty to see the commercial-administrative management and the production supervision. In 1955 and 1956 sales reached about 5000 pieces. 1957 was the golden year for the sporting Mondial. It won 4 World . In 1960 began a sale’s decrease that brought Mondial to its first financial crisis. |
