1947 Chrysler Town & Country
In 1947, Chrysler introduced whitewall tires, enabling the rear fenders
to allow larger wheelhouse openings. And the Town and Country remained
the optimal vehicle for both the suburbs and the city. The two-door convertible
was fitted on a New Yorker chassis powered by a magnificent L-head 8 cylinder
323.5 cubic inch engine. Its elegance was enhanced by Highlander upholstery,
All-Weather Air Control and a choice of two radios. Original sticker price
in 1947 was: $2,743
