Customer Review: I love my new Makita cordless hammer drill. It's lightweight, well-designed, ergonomic and powerful. The battery lasts a long time, even in cold temperatures (14º). The light is very handy and it is user friendly. The charger is quick and amusing, with its musical tones, and is also user... more info
Customer Review: I recently used my new Bosch hammer drill to hang numerous wood window valences on masonry walls in a large church rectory. The tool preformed perfecrly. I expect many years of service based on the history of a corded Bosch drill I have used for over 20 years.
Customer Review: This drill is very light for the power it has. I like it very much. PROBLEM IS THAT I'VE GONE THROUGH 5 LITHIUM BATTERIES THUS FAR. I've had it a little over a year. The repair guy said Makita hasn't mastered the Lithium technology yet. Once, both batteries were bad right out of the package. I'm now... more info
Customer Review: I got the DC988CA in a kit with the DC385 sawsall. Both have not held up to fairly light usage. The first time I used the hammer function of the drill to drill concrete, something electrical failed & it quit working. Repairs seem to cost more than the drill is worth. Same for the sawsall.... more info
Customer Review: I bought this because I have the batery and the charger for it already. The shipment was on time. The SDS Rotary Hammer work very good. I would recomended to anyone that needed this tool for the home remodeling.
Customer Review: I never thought i would buy a cordless hammer drill because there is no way they could produce enough power to get the job done. Well i was wrong about that. I drilled right through concrete like it was butter. My only complaint is i would still like a little longer battery life but that is lot to... more info
Customer Review: The same performance an be obtained from some other lighter drills. Too bad that I did not have a chance to try it at a local store (as they do not carry this beast), and would not have purchased it. The chuck looks cheap (B&D). November 15, 2009
Used it to drill into concrete wall,... more info
Customer Review: For a hundred bucks this drill is a thing of wonder. But one third of the teeth on the chuck key supplied are broken making it a huge pain to use, and now I have to get another. So it's a bargain, but not restored to new condition as advertised. I would give it 5 stars otherwise. Judging from other... more info
Customer Review: Based on the reviews we decided to give this drill a try and in general for light duty use the Makita cordless tools have been fine. For Tapcon holes this drill is barely adequate but OK. For anything more it is better to get one of the Bosch rotary hammer drills as 1/4" is really the limit for the... more info
