This radio works great in shower. But I have problem with the weather band. I live in Los Angeles. I switched the weather band channels from 1 to 5 and heard nothing but static. Is the weather band receiver of SONY ICF-S79V supposed to hear anything? Any suggestions are welcome!

For a tiny shower radio, this sounds pretty good. You can't expect it to sound like a stereo. It's a little tinny, but is fine for the shower. It is plenty loud to hear it over the water, or even from the two bedrooms down the hall.

Considering this is a low cost item, and I truly believe you get what you pay for, this is a pretty decent little radio. The stations were a little difficult to find (it's very touchy), but once I found the station I wanted, I just left it there and have had no troubles. I can hear it over the noise... more info
