I bought the 3.0 version and had to upgrade to the 4.0 because 3.0 DID NOT support Vista 64 bit. (Wish I would have know that at the time. The box said Vista so I thought no worries....wrong)

Not all blu-ray disks will play, some hd-dvd have terrible sound, and many dvds cause it to crash. Tech support was meager at best. I did the online support, which got me nowhere, and they suggested I call technical support, at a cost of 15 dollars for support.
