Customer Review: I bought this book about the time it first appeared and have enjoyed picking it up every so often over the years. I also gifted the book to several friends who gave it great reviews.
Customer Review: I have recently read other books about the southern ocean and sailing in gale force winds. This was an enjoyable and easy read. There is a lot of suspense and will keep you intertained. I think if you enjoy sailing or boating you will enjoy this book. These are a rare breed of men.
Customer Review: This book has such an easy-to-read format that it really could appeal to almost any age. The breadth of topics covered is amazing, and the illustrations are fantastic. I highly recommend this book! (And I can't wait for the vampire book to come out.)

It may be helpful to read A Voyage for Madmen first as it documents the complete race and details the other sailors competing as well. This has become one of my favorite... more info
Customer Review: This has to be one of my favorite books on sailing. Flirting with Mermaids is well written and keeps the reader engaged and entertained throughout.
Customer Review: Ten Degrees of Reckoning is very heart-breaking stuff. The book would have received five stars instead of four if the author had actually been able to write better. The author is not really a writer, which becomes apparent as she just jumps around the events willy-nilly, not actually linking the... more info
