| | 1. | | The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground Price: $7.97
Customer Review:
Very experimental album indeed. Realesed at the height of Psychedelia in 1967 this album never was really that popular because it was too "out there" but although that this album has reamained a classic. Some key tracks on here are, "run run run", "heroin", "venus in furs", "all tommorows parties",... more info

Customer Review:
If White Light/White Heat is the late night downtown scene, not so much on a Friday or Saturday, but on a Wednesday, when only the locals and the hardcore seed the bars and clubs, then this one is the lower East Side on a very hot and bright Sunday afternoon, long ago, long before our modern era of... more info

| | 3. | | White Light/White Heat by The Velvet Underground Price: $7.97
Customer Review:
While I love all 3 other VU album, I simply don't get this one. After about 20 sometimes really painful listening, I give up. This album has its moments with me with the title track, here she comes now and I heard her call my name. But the gift, what the hell? A narration of a story about... more info

| | 4. | | Loaded by The Velvet Underground Price: $10.99
Customer Review:
All the noise of "White Light/White Heat" is gone, but from the beginning of "Who Loves The Sun" it's easy to see that worse things could happen. Then you have the back to back genius of "Sweet Jane" and "Rock and Roll", and it's hard to see how this album could go wrong. "Cool It Down" does... more info

| | 5. | | The Very Best of the Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground Price: $13.98
Customer Review:
Velvet Underground is just one of those bands you can lay back, burn some incense and relax. You get your moneys' worth from this one. It's a long c.d. Venus in Furs is my absolute favorite. I could play this one over and over and never get tired of it. Mellow and alluring are two words I'd use to... more info

| | 6. | | VU by The Velvet Underground Price: $7.97
Customer Review:
this is probably my favorite vu record. the band's songs are more melodic and less experimental noiscapes that characterized the content of their first two records. the modern lover's first album is very influenced by the vu music recorded in this era. i like the vu's music from this period.

| | 7. | | 1969: Velvet Underground Live, Vol. 1 by The Velvet Underground Price: $8.98
Customer Review:
As far as Velvet Underground live material, I had only heard Live at Max's Kansas City, which I love, so I expected more of the same from the 1969 material, fidelity wise, before I heard this. Surprise! The 1969 series is an enormous step up in quality and the performances are even better. 1969... more info

| | 8. | | 1969: Velvet Underground Live, Vol. 2 by The Velvet Underground Price: $11.98
Customer Review:
Originally the second record in a 2-LP set, this is now the companion volume to Live 1969, Volume 1, and it's every bit as good as (perhaps even better than) its predecessor. Lou Reed's songs (and the entire band's playing) sounds absolutely stunning in a live context. The music shimmers with life... more info

| | 9. | | Loaded (2-CD Fully Loaded Edition) by The Velvet Underground Price: $14.99
Customer Review:
Well, The Velvet Underground made three incredible and cutting-edge albums with the MGM/Verve label. Afterwards, they signed a contract with Atlantic Records and made which was to be their final studio album, Loaded. I'm told that even today, many Velvet fans rank Loaded as the band's least... more info

| | 10. | | Peel Slowly and See by The Velvet Underground Price: $35.97
Customer Review:
Heroin, sadomasochism, paranoia, hangovers, seductive ladies and a big banana on the cover. The Velvet Underground was unique in 1967 -- even if it never made big sales -- and remains unique to this day, no matter how many bands are influenced by them. Not bad for an arty band with zero mainstream... more info
