    from Warner Bros / Wea

    Customer Review:
(This is - in part - an open letter to the makers of this DVD)
Upon viewing this DVD one realises that this particular recording was never meant for release on a such a high quality format as DVD. There is no Dolby 5.1, not even 2.0, but 'linear PCM' audio which sounds pretty poor quality to me.... more info

6.Miles Davis - Live from the Montreal Jazz FestivalMiles Davis - Live from the Montreal Jazz Festival
    from Geneon [Pioneer]

    Customer Review:
I was a bit unsure whether this would be any good due to some bad reviews. Anyone saying this is 'Smooth Jazz' needs their ears examined!
Much better than 'Live In Paris' DVD (boring, and Miles isn't in great health i would say), never did get 'Foley' on lead bass although K Garret is good.... more info

    7.[no image]Miles Ahead:Music of Miles Davis
    from Bmg Music

    Customer Review:
'Miles Ahead: The Music of Miles Davis' is a 1986 PBS documentary which has all but disappeared over the last ten years or so. This program is a must see for Miles fans, and desperately needs to be released on DVD. As far as I know, 'Miles Ahead' was last aired on PBS several years ago as part of a... more info

9.Miles Davis - Live in MunichMiles Davis - Live in Munich
    from Geneon [Pioneer]

    Customer Review:

The last Saturday I had the chance to watch this superb recital in Munich and the result has been simply overwhelming. Although Mlles Davis tune was some diminished, nevertheless the fire and the passion the ensemble played that evening of October 10 1988 in Munich has become a true status... more info
