Customer Review: As a WW2 vetereran who served in the Fifteenth Air Force as a member of the ground crew, this book has been a long time coming. As a history book or a book of memories for those who were there, it is a welcome addition to everyone's collection. It's accuracy in every detail, be it text or... more info
Customer Review: Mr. Dorr has done a nice job of writing about the B-24 Liberator in the Pacific. It contains a wealth of information on AAF operations with some information on Navy B-24 operations. I also think it would be a great guide for scale modeling.
Customer Review: I remember reading through this book as a teen, having checked it out numerous times from the library. I was interested in all things WWII. I still hold that interest, and when I was able to get my hands on a copy of my own, I gladly sent off my money. The text explains the value of the B-24 and... more info
Customer Review: The MTO-based 15th Air Force, though it flew its share of hairy missions in WW II, never received the publicity garnered by the 8th Air Force based in England. Likewise there have been far fewer books on the 15th AF published since war's end. Fans of the 15th AF and/or the B-24 Liberator, therefore,... more info
Customer Review: I'm a "wanna-be" organizer, and I just finished reading this CD-Rom version of Lisa's book, The Professional Organizer's Complete Business Guide. I really appreciated all the information she gives on the business side of things. She comes right out and tells you that you have to have a knack for... more info
Customer Review: Waging war in the modern era not only requires an army of soldiers, sailors, and aviators, but the weapons to fight the war with as well. Hordes of books focus on the leaders, battles, and tactics, far fewer concentrate on the tools of war. Dorr's exceptional book captures an aspect of the air war... more info
Customer Review: Every B24's buff must have one! First of all, iy's my opinion that anyone interested in historical technicalities should have a book on aircraft design and production evolution; then he 'd move to original reference as maintenance or flight manuals to get a deep kwnoledge from inside.
Customer Review: Call me old-fashioned, but when I buy a reference work on the B-24 Liberator, I expect to get a book about the B-24 Liberator. If it covers "cousins" like the cargo and VIP transport versions, fine, if it devotes time to the Privateer, great, if it covers post-war Privateer use as... more info
