| | 1. | | Appaloosa from Berkley Price: $3.50
Customer Review:
I picked this book up at a drug store of all places on discount, when purchasing I thought it would be a dud but for the price I could not go wrong. Well I was wrong, this was one of my most enjoyable reads of 2009! Robert B Parker brings the characters alive in Appaloosa, a wonderful surprise!

| | 2. | | The Legendary Appaloosa from The Lyons Press Price: $16.83
Customer Review:
This is a lovely book. There are many closeup pictures of this beautiful breed, and they are very well taken. I didn't read much of the print (I bought it for the pictures) but what little I did read it seemed pretty accurate. If you want some nice Appaloosa eye candy, this is a good book.

I bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday. Pictures are nice to look at and is a fun way to go through the alphabet. I gave it a four because I was disappointed that the author felt she had to bring in the evolution theory.I would recommend Snow Ponies, Blackie etc before this book.

For the appaloosa enthusiast, this is an excellent book that documents the early days (1940's) of this breed. Full of old pictures of the original appaloosa horse. Interesting reading for anyone who loves the spotted horse. Recommend it for all appaloosa lovers. A must for your library.
