2.The Murder of TutankhamenThe Murder of Tutankhamen
from Berkley Trade
Price: $2.55

Customer Review:
I love this book. I am a very busy mom and I don't get alot of time to myself. This book is great even if you only have 20 minutes at a time to read it. Dr. Briar writes more like a story-teller than a history professor. He takes us beyond the grandeur and shows us the "humsn" side of Ancient... more info

5.Tutankhamen: The Life and Death of the Boy-KingTutankhamen: The Life and Death of the Boy-King
from St. Martin's Griffin

Customer Review:
I am no expert on Egypt or archaeology, but this book is enlightening on both fronts, and, while a tad dry, most engaging. El Mahdy has been an Egyptologist since she learned to read her first hieroglyphs at age 7, and has spent a long lifetime as a serious scholar. In this volume she explains first... more info

The author tried to convince reader that Tut-ankh-amen was Jesus Christ, but did an inadequate job. There was however, valuable information presented in the book.

Customer Review:

I remember in the 1960's reading the original books (2 volumes) that were published by Howard Carter not long after he had finished cataloguing the extraordinary finds from the tomb. Although all the photographs were in black and white they showed beautiful objects. Objects that increased my... more info

9.[no image]Tomb of Tut-Ankh-Amen
from Cooper Square Pub

Customer Review:
No wonder it was so publicized! So much stuff! The only tomb found (1924) so far intact. What a feat! And to think - because it wasn't ever opened, the mummy was actually in much worse shape because of the unguents they poured all over everything. The ones that had been robbed at least had a chance... more info
