The grip is rounded so when you really apply pressure it's much more comfortable than a standard adjustable wrench. The down side is they don't open up quite as far as a standard cresent wrench. Customer Review: If you only posess a 3/8-inch socket wrench set, fear not.....DON'T buy an adapter! Simply pull the chrome "nut" from the filter wrench, and voila!...there is a perfect 3/8" hole for your socket wrench or extension. They wouldn't design something that you'd have to purchase an adapter for, please!... more info

Customer Review: I wanted to like this because it is a good idea. The implementation is jsut poorly done.
I bought one and it broke--the slider lost it's position, so it no longer opened the jaw all the way. I returned it, and the second eventually did the same.
