  • Titebond MP75 DOES glue anything to anything
I bought this to add reinforcement to a cam-lock style of assemble-yourself cabinet I was putting together. Basically, I just glued each edge, and tightened the camlocks. You do have about 45 seconds of open time, which is enough to get everything positioned. The surfaces being glued together were MDF and Melamine. This stuff bonds really well to both. I made a mistake, and tried pulling 2 pieces apart after 2 minutes, and no dice. A rubber mallet would not separate the 2. The one thing I have found is that... more info

  • Works, but expensive
This 'glue' works well, but is way too expensive. I had two prior tubes dry up to where they couldn't be used anymore despite the fact that there was about 50% left in the tube. And I always put the cap back on when it's still hot and always squeeze out a little extra to get the air out. All in all, you'll probably find this whole system to be way too expensive unless you have a large project where you can use up all the tubes of glue prior to the tubes clogging up. If you need to store a used tube for an... more info

  • Doesn't live up to claims
I have tried to use this extensively for about one year. I have spoken several times to the company about defective glue cartridges that heat up but do not flow. Approximately 50-60% of the cartridges prove to be defective. They shipped me box of new cartridges but over 50% of those were defective. They later offered a new replacement model at a 10% discount, but given their admission that the gun was defective should have prompted a greater discount or free exchange on their part.
    Additionally, the... more info

  • Glue works, Gun doesn't
Well over a year ago, I purchased the HiPurformer kit that is overpriced at $100. At the cost of the glue tubes, they should give you the gun. Anyway, I needed some kind of super glue and this seemed like it was it. The glue does work and is excellent for trim where you really can't screw or nail or air nail. Problem is, the gun no longer feeds. I read reviews about this before I bought this kit - the feed mechanism breaks and then the whole thing is useless. The guy at the Woodcraft store where I bought my... more info
