Flawed tool I have both the Accuset brad nailer and 1/4" crown nailer. They have both failed do to the driver piston not retracting fully, thus not firing the next fastener in the clip. In additon , all of the screw fasteners on the tools were over torqued from the factory, and some could not be removed for servicing without stripping. The tools are also heavy compared to the competition. Not recommended.
A very good buy. The Accuset brad nailer has served me well. I have put in a fair amount of time with it now. There is only one reason the nailer came down to a 4 star rating. The soft tip that prevents you from marring woods is very flimsy. It fell off within the first three hours of use and as the tip is completely useless if not solidly secured, it is easier to use the nailer without it and simply sand out any marks that the tip leaves behind. Very nice product This is the first brad nailer I have ever owned and I am very pleased with it. It is comfortable to handle,light and easy to use. The price was very good and the recomendations of others helped a lot. I'm very glad I got it when I did. I only use it around the house on DIY projects and I highly recomend this tool.
Pick one up while you can This is a great gun that can still be picked up from various vendors (at beyond belief prices) if you hurry. Senco has a great warranty and is standing behind this product, regardless of the fact that the Accuset name is being discontinued. I was told by a Senco rep. that all parts and accessories will still be available through them directly IF you need them.
