Customer Review: I'm a fan of Kingsolver's fiction, and was happy to finally read this book when my bookclub chose it. The parts about how corporate agribusiness has changed the way Americans eat were quite unsettling. Kingsolver reminds us that with a small amount of gardening space anyone can raise some of their... more info
Customer Review: I bought Eliot Coleman's New Organic Grower years ago and always wanted to get fresh vegetables in the winter. This is way more than just an update to that book! It gives more details and advice to get you going. Now we have a greenhouse (really a high plastic tunnel 11'x17'x7' tall) full of his... more info
Customer Review: The "Four Season Harvest: Organic Vegetables from Your Home Garden All Year Long" book is a great book for people living in the North East who want to garden even in the winter months. Eliot Coleman does a fabulous and inspirational job of showing step-by-step how to. Everything from building cold... more info
Customer Review: A must have for your reference library! Easy to use with separate sections for problem identification by plant or by insect with lots of color pictures. Handy to have even if you don't garden organically.

Customer Review: Elliot Coleman is so much more than an organic farmer. His approach to growing things is as a scientist and he's continually researching, testing, and retesting his growing methods and tools. If all farmers were like Coleman we could easily feed the world's growing population in an organic,... more info
Customer Review: I was disapointed with the book. Didn't like the tone of how the book was written. Yes, it has lots of information but the way it is written is hard to read. I use it for a reference once in a while other wise it sits on my self. :(
Customer Review: I just built my first compost bins and I refer to this book often. I built it out of pallets as I didn't want to invest any money at this time and then find out later I wasn't going to like it. It is working out great. I already have decomposing going on and the worms have moved in! (which is good!)... more info
