| | 1. | | Excalibur (The Arthur Books #3) from Macmillan Audio
Customer Review:
Cornwell's Arthurian trilogy set around 500 AD concludes with "Excalibur." It should be noted this bears no relation to the movie "Excalibur" that relates the more traditional, Christian version of the Arthur story. At the end of Book 2, Enemy of God, Arthur survived not only a Christian... more info

Customer Review:
From beginning to end, this story braces the imagination, and takes one to a place and time where faith, honor, and courage were central. Four Arthurian Romances: Erec et Enide -- Cliges -- Yvain -- Lancelot by Chretien de Troyes. Published by MobileReference (mobi). I've read several books on Arthurian literature, and this is one of my favorites. In Knight of the Cart, Chretien really makes Lancelot shine as he sacrifices more... more info

| | 7. | | Bulfinch's Mythology (Laurel Classic) from Laurel Price: $2.95
Customer Review:
It's astonishing that Edith Hamilton's MYTHOLOGY outsells this book on a regular basis. I think most educators just look at the publication date. Since Hamilton's book was published in the 1940s and Bullfinch published in the 1800s, they think Hamilton's book must be much easier to read: not so.more info
