Customer Review: Pretty amazing, has features that used to only be found in ham radios. Con: They are a little large, I don't know why the antenna is so long on these radios when it's shorter on others, in this band (GMRS/FRS 460 MHz) all antennas on all radios should be the same length. Customer Review: There is no way these 2 way radios will carry 8 miles, I went less than a mile and could not hear the other person. As for a toy for the grandkids they work just get. They use them around the house. They work great. I went to order another set for the other grandkids and now they are unavailable.
Customer Review: I don't expect much from $20 walkie-talkies, but one of the units had a broken speaker right out of the package! And the process for replacing/repairing is worthless since it's sold through an Amazon affiliate, not Amazon itself.
Customer Review: Bought 2. One broke after 15 minutes. The other doesn't contact my neighbor 100 feet away. Waste of lots of money. Midland let me down. Motorola next.
Customer Review: Only using them for a short distance, room to room inside, but they work fine. clear and easy to use. Like the 'code' feature so you know you are only talking to the intended recipient.

Customer Review: For anyone concerned about giving away a position in Iraq, why not go into the radio setup menu, disable the "Send Location" feature under the Send Location tab, and disable position polling under the Allow Polling tab? If these features are disabled, the Rino will not send its position when the... more info
