I gave this dvd player four stars since it does not have an optical digital out jack. This is the superior cable for the audio signal. It does have a coaxial digital out jack which is the next best cable. Other than that this is a great five disk dvd/cd player for under $200. It does play burnt cds.... more info

Initially, this player worked great but shortly after the warranty expired (of course) it stopped reading discs once in awhile and after a few more car trips it now will not play any DVDs. Support information on RCAs website is scant and I am amazed how often the problem is being reported/complained... more info
