Customer Review: I too feel fleeced by the promises made by this book. There amount of specific, useful information, if any, contained in this book totals perhaps _2_ pages. Don't be fooled like I was. Calling this book a repair manual, imho, is misrepresentation.
Customer Review: I found the Hains to be helpful in the basic needs of a Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40 owner, but if you are looking for a book that will give more indepth information, such as restoration jobs, I do not recomend this book. For example this books digrams and schematics are much to be desired and blurry... more info

On general level it covers some good points and has useful info, but lacks in... more info

Most of them are reviews and road tests. They are arranged by date, and that is the only organization. The articles themselves are... more info
Customer Review: It's cool that someone put all these old stories together like this, probably by licensing the articles from the original magazine publishers. But in the end it's not that rewarding except for the vintage factor--photos and style of writing. Still, for a Cruiserhead it may be a cool addition to the... more info
