| | 1. | | American Psycho from Vintage Price: $10.17
Customer Review:

For the first time in my reading career (and I have done a lot of reading) I not only didn't finish the book but deposited it in the wastebasket. I am not a prude but the sex really turned me off. Having been in the Marine Corps, I have seen my share of mayhem and carnage but enough was... more info

| | 2. | | Less Than Zero from Vintage Price: $10.36
Customer Review:
"Less Than Zero" is a semi-autobiographical novel of youthful disaffection and depravity among wealthy Los Angelinos, written when author Bret Easton Ellis was 19 years old. Clay is a college freshman who has returned to his native L.A. for Christmas break after his first semester in New Hampshire.... more info

| | 3. | | The Rules of Attraction from Vintage Price: $11.16
Customer Review:
Rules of Attraction is a first-person narrative that alternates between a few egocentric, hedonistic college students as they become intertwined in a love triangle. There isn't a dull moment in the book in large part due to the story and Ellis' provocative style of writing. The characters are quite... more info

| | 4. | | Glamorama (Vintage Contemporaries) from Vintage Price: $10.17
Customer Review:
Yes, it does seem like a lot of name dropping and hipsterisms in the opening hundred pages or so, but that is just laying the foundation for the huge story to come. This is probably my all time favorite novel, way better than American Psycho.

| | 6. | | The Informers from Vintage Price: $11.16
Customer Review:
I gave up on this book after 130 out of 225 pages. The book was recommended on NPR as good vacation reading. The characters did nothing, said nothing, and did not interact. All they did was take Valium and Librium because they were so bored. The author did not convince me that their nihilistic lives... more info

| | 9. | | American Psycho from MacMillan
Customer Review:
When first skimming through or even reading in entirety the novel `American Psycho' one can made the assumption, wrong as it may be, that it's nothing more than a perverse catalog of sadistic events. Like I said, that assumption is wrong. Bret Easton Ellis is and will always be one of the most... more info
