My Review ![]()
I am a Christian and thorougly enjoyed this book. I listen to God often through prayer, study, conversation and this book came to me at the right time and in the right place in my life. It does not take away from Scripture and never claims to change the way we believe as Christians. It is one man's story and his encounter with God.
For me, the characters in the book did not replace or change my beliefs and understanding of Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Father. In many ways it confirmed the...

I love the book. My view of it is that God will do anything or appear in any way to tell us He Love us. This was the only way He could start to communicate with Mack. Awesome. Forget correct theology and catch the Love God has for each one of us.
Best story I have run into ![]()
The book introduced me to an image of God no one had ever talked to me about before. It made more sense to my heart then all the higher theology I have ever been exposed to. Had to get the audio so I can listen while driving, as I am sure the police frown on reading while driving.

I was a little skeptical getting a \"young adult\" book - but I went for it anyways and I am so very glad I did. It was one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I fell in love with both Bella and Edward. I could not put it down. I can not wait to read the next one.

How can i describe Watchmen? Suppose that one was to rate movies and books for what you would pay for the chance to enjoy them, not for their overall influence on society, but for your own enjoyment only. Value goes up, like all other goods, with low supply. So a movie like the Dark Knight, I would easily pay $60 or $70 to see. (glad i didn't have to.) Watchmen would fall in the several hundred dollar range. Every single chapter (episode, issue, whatever they're called) is completely engrossing.

This book has a lot going for it. First of all Stephen King wrote a raving review. You have to know it's an out there story in the land where magical stuff happens. Think Tolkien set in Wisconsin. Second, it's a dog book that isn't just puppy, dog, old dog, dog dies. I love good dog books. And third, a German Shepard named Almondine plays the role of Ophelia. I'm sure this book will be my Most Memorable of '08.

Cynical Sedaris Strikes Again ![]()
I love cynical writings so David Sedaris is one of my favorites though this book is a bit more introspective and sensitive. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I learned so much about the country of Palestine and was so impressed with the outstanding descriptions of the countrysides. It was a real eye-opener into the Muslim people as well which, I hate to admit, are misunderstood by most Americans. They are, obviously, not all terriorists. I think every American should read this beautifully written book. Greg Mortenson is a true American hero.

Lovely Story, Admirable Spirit
I've had this book since it was first released having learned about it at a climbing meeting near my home. It wasn't a best seller then, wasn't a book of the month highlight or anything. Actually, it was pretty much unheard outside of my outdoor orientated friends.

For those of us who what how we were designed to eat, the recipes in Deceptively are a little too processed and artificial, but they weren't awful like a lot of the reviewers are claiming. You have to remember that if you're used to eating trash, good food isn't going to taste so good right off the bat.
