Customer Review: The 3.5 system allowed for massive customization and character creation, as long as you have an imaginative group and a DM who is good with making house rules to bring things down to earth, then this was the best D&D system to date.
The forth edition really seems set to drain the money... more info
Customer Review: $e is coming, so buying this and thinking you are staying current is a lie. Just buy it if you are sticking with 3.5 till the end and better yet get it used. A lot of people are shedding their 3.5 books because 4e is coming.
Customer Review: Have been holding off buying into new 4.0 edition. But have been loathe to invest any more dollars or shelf space into 3.5 supplements. However, after paging through this one at the local book store I picked it up any way. Am a few readings in, and am glad I did. This book provides, as the name... more info
Customer Review: I wouldn't listen to anyone that claims the "new and improved" 3.5 is any bit "new and improved".
3.0 is truly the right blend of D&D tradition and sound game mechanics. 3.5 is a pile of garbage house-rules for actual D&D crafted by a new batch of "limited" designer minds.
Customer Review: I must admit, I've only recently began getting back into D&D. I've always enjoyed playing it, but never really played (let alone ran) Forgotten Realms. Customer Review: As with most Monster Manuals, the larger more creatures you have at your finger tips, the easier it is to keep your players challenged and keep the game fun with a variety of opponents.
Customer Review: I'd give it more stars, as it does seem to have the best of 3.0 with some new (and older) ideas, but we really haven't started getting into it seriously with our game group quite yet to judge (we've been playing off and on with various groups on our own since the late 1970's, and remember the old 3... more info
Customer Review: I was happily surprized that the book did not match the image suppled by Amazon and other web sites! So glad it matched the other 2 leather bound books. I hope more are produced by wizards in the future. The leather book is similar to the previous 2 supplied by Amazon and by far Amazon has the... more info
Customer Review: Read J.R.R. Tolkiens The Simillarion if you want a way cooler history of the Elves & other fantasy races. This book is kinda wimpy. The editor must of had the day off because the writing goes on and on and is a rehash from previous sections of the book. The basic design/typeography/illustrations... more info
