| | 1. | | The Wordy Shipmates from Riverhead Hardcover Price: $17.13
Customer Review:
I think that Sarah Vowell's writing is creative, witting and fascinating. Up until now, I have enjoyed everything written by Sarah Vowell and always look forward to her new books. But I wasn't quite as enthralled with The Wordy Shipmates. Maybe it's me, but I just couldn't get myself as stirred up... more info

| | 2. | | Assassination Vacation from Simon & Schuster Price: $11.20
Customer Review:
Sarah Vowell's mind tends to wander. My mind tends to wander too. Usually that's not a good combination. When an author tends to go offtrack I get lost but with "Assassination Vacation" it was very easy for me to wander down the path she laid out in the book. Customer Review:
"Shakespeare Wrote For Money" is Nick Hornby's latest and last collection of his "Stuff I've Been Reading" columns from "The Believer Magazine." The format, a monthly informal essay that begins with a list of books bought and a list of those actually read, is conversational and personal. The first... more info

| | 9. | | The Berlin Years from McSweeney's
Customer Review:
I've seen 3 of these second editions, and the quality of the reproductions is excellent. I mean, I'm not going to be giving my copy of this set to the Frick Collection with the rest of my estate, but they're certainly frame-able. Lovely to look at. Delightful to hold.
