| | 2. | | Salt: A World History from Penguin (Non-Classics) Price: $4.94
Customer Review:
Salt has an interesting history of formation and useage. Unfortunately we get a lot of the one and very little of the other. Looking at Mr Kurlansky's publishing history, we see that he is a food writer and this explains a lot. I liked his The Basque History of the World: The Story of a Nation.... more info

| | 10. | | The Story of Salt from Putnam Juvenile Price: $6.89
Customer Review:
I ordered this book for my son, who loves science, because I loved the adult version so much.
It is a fantastic abbreviation. Mark Kurlansky was brilliant to make compelling but clear kids' versions of his already excellent publications!
