Customer Review: I was a huge Snicket fan ever scince I read "The Reptile Room" in 2001 when I was only in the third grade. I bought this final book last year as a teenager hoping to find out what the "sugar bowl" was, if one of the Baudelaires parents were still alive, and what VFD actually stood for. This book... more info
Customer Review: Tons of filler in this book. Snicket brings back most of the characters for a courtroom showdown which means he takes every opportunity to use the following format: "It's a bird!"
"It's a plane!"
"It's a hook!"
"It's a book!"
"It's a rail!"
"It's a tail!"

Customer Review: A Series of Un-fortunate Events is good reading material for younger children. They probably will want to emulate some of the characters in the books, which would be fine... especially the calm and intelligent Violet. They are interesting stories and well written, I find some of them slow.

Customer Review: I almost reviewed A Series of Unfortunate Events several weeks ago, but I decided to get to book two in the series before I did. Book one had convinced me that "Lemony Snicket," as whoever writes these books insists on calling himself, can write. I had been suspicious of these little books because... more info
Customer Review: We purchased and read all 13 hard cover books in the series (as they came out) and were thoroughly engaged, although there was NO DEPTH to the characters at all. What kept us going was the entertaining writing style, and the challenge of trying to tie together the multitude of mysterious and... more info
Customer Review: Slippery Slope is a good book. I would recommend it if you like books that are mysteries. This book is the 10th one in the Series of Unfortunate Events written by Lemony Snicket. I think the book would only make sense to you if you've read the other books in the series. The characters and events... more info
Customer Review: If you are thinking of reading this review, first be forewarned that it contains very little happiness in it at all. Inside the pages of the books that this review reviews, you will find such terrible things as orphaned children, a greedy villain out to steal a fortune, an incompetent banker (the... more info
Customer Review: The Carnivorous Carnival is the 9th installment in the Baudelaire orphans' Series of Unfortunate Events. The orphans have escaped the burning hospital from Book 8 by climbing in the trunk of Count Olaf's car and sneaking away with him and his evil henchmen. They arrive at a carnival isolated in the... more info
Customer Review: My favorite book is the Reptile Room.
The author is lemony Snicker. The theme is good and bad. My favorite charter is sunny. This Is why I like this I charter. Sunny meets the incredibly deadly viper, and the snake bites sunny on the chin. Sunny bites the snake back! The incredibly deadly... more info
Customer Review: This book is my favorite of the series. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are getting a lot older and smarter. A new character joins Count Olaf and the Baudilaures are more determined than ever to get find the Quagmires triplets.
