I'm a Oracle DBA and this is a great reference book. I use it so much that it does not get back to the bookshelf. A book to learn how oracle works it is not but a complete quick coverage of everything that an oracle 9i database can do. The only thing I have found better might be Oracle's own docs.... more info

This book is huge, at 1344 pages it is huge. But not at all useful. Information is too darn difficult to find, and more often that not it is simply not there. I could not find anything on Dynamic SQL, and very little on SQL Load - something a supposedly 'Complete Reference' of Oracle8 should cover.... more info
