Combination of camera and card firmware that reduces read/write protocol
Performs just like standard 80x cards in non WA enabled cameras
Type I CompactFlash format
Editorial Review:
Lexar Media's Professional Series CompactFlash is designed to speed up image transfer times by taking advantage of a Digital SLR camera's high-speed processor. Capable of sustained write speeds of 12 mb per second, making the CompactFlash cards ideal for any photographer who demands optimal performance from the card and camera they use.Write Acceleration Technology (WA) allows digital cameras and CompactFlash cards to work together perfectly to pass and store images more quickly and achieve image-write speeds never before possible.

Great Card I also have a Canon 20D and I have never had a problem with this card. I travel a lot and use this camera for my job, usually max out the card with large format images. Never once had any problems. Do not know why other people are having problems.
DO NOT BUY FOR CANON CAMERAS I have 4 of these cards being used for paper weights. Having shot a football game for the paper I came back with with no pictures and an upset editor, then discovered the warning on the Lexar website. Lexar will give me 4 new ones " What A Deal"
Canon users beware! I just discovered that this card can have problems when used in a Canon digital slr. Mine is a 1Ds and I filled the card to capacity on a recent trip to Croatia only to find that the images could not be retrieved when I returned. Lexar now has the card and hopefully can save the photos. There is an advisory on the Lexar website dated June 2005 but no warning on the package. I used the card several times before our trip and it worked fine. If you have this card and a Canon slr, check the Lexar... more info
Fast and flawless Used with Canon EOS 20D. Managed 9+ JPG's and 5+ RAW continuous shots before the card couldn't save fast enough. That's typical and may be a limitation of the camera. But it recovered fast and allowed further multiple shots. Used a 133x and Sandisk ExtremeIII. I've got to say I saw no difference whatsoever in write speed. Storage size was perfect for my needs allowing about 8Mpixel RAW's on a card. No corruptions and no issues.
