A 2004 Mattel production
Editorial Review:
Ken has dual roles as King Dominick and tutor, Julian in the Barbie video "The Princess and The Pauper." Girls can act out the story with the doll and make costume changes for him. The outfit for King Dominick has a long, regal coat and vest with cravat, crown and high boots. The period-inspired costume for Julian the tutor is dark blue and includes accessories to help train the pauper to be a princess. Measures approximately 11.5" tall.

"Barbie King" Our girls love King Dominick! He came with some strange glue like substance on his hair but thankfully it wore off over time. Our girls equally enjoy Prince Stefan. Will honestly admit he is not what I imagine as "Kingly"... more "barbie-ish" with kings clothes. Our girls don't seem to mind though.
Nice My 6 year-old granddaughter loves Barbie even the males and this one is no exception. Very well made and holding up well.
Got for a gift for a friend's daughter . . . . . . was a hit.
I had to laugh ...when my mother happened to ask one of my daughters, "WHAT is Ken wearing?" There is something about this outfit that is just so funny looking. The doll is the same quality as all of the Barbie items and my daughters seem to think that Ken looks terrific so that's all that matters.
