Princess and the Pauper Royal Musical Palace from Mattel
Editorial Review:
It's royalty at its finest. The Barbie Princess and the Pauper Royal Music Palace has lots of rooms with enchanted features and a real working elevator that makes bell sounds when it goes up and down. Just like in the movie, this castle is the perfect plaAll is aflutter in the enchanted royal castle as Princess Anneliese (A.K.A. Barbie) and her look-alike pauper friend Erika (A.K.A. Barbie) prepare for their double wedding to Julian and King Dominick. There's singing in the bathtub, preening in front of the magical three-way mirror, joyful piano music, and wedding bells chiming. This large pink play set is chock-full of intricate details, from a working elevator to secret hiding places to sound features in the bathroom and music room. The castle opens to reveal many rooms, nooks, and crannies, each with special purposes and accessories, including candelabra, wedding cake, dishes and utensils, canopy beds, throne, organ, and flute. The spectacular yet less-than-sturdy plastic set might not last through more than one fervent Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper fan, but the passion will be sweet. Adult assembly required. Dolls not included. Six AAA batteries required (not included). --Emilie Coulter

Avg. Customer Rating: 3.5 / 5.0 This is (...)at times......... Now, I love this castle set. I got it for my cousins and I for our Pop Pop's house. We set it up and then we started playing. It has been 4 days now and we have yet to locate it. I am just wondering why I seem to be the only one who mentions this.....am I just blind and can't find it....or is everyone... more info The castle is falling down around their ears... Apparently the geodes didn't pan out for Annelise's family, as their castle is falling down around their ears! This castle has to be one of the most poorly put-together toys we have. The beds keeps coming off; the bell tower falls off by itself; the birdbath crashes to the floor if you even touch it. Of course, the kids (almost 5 and 2) love it and play with it almost every day. So we keep it, even though I am constantly having to rethread the bell tower string (a pain!) through a wee little hole to... more info boring i have not bought this toy but it looks boring.who wants to play with a dollhouse that on the ouside looks like a mansion but in the inside it is only two floors.it is cheap, princeses dont live in two bed houses. what if they have kids ever think of that mattel.booooooooooooooo.
