• Great addition for your LOR collection
  This is a great figure. It's large and sturdy. Other reviewers had problems with the head of their beast, but mine went on just fine. It cannot stand on its own because its legs are too far back. The center of balance isn't right. The Ringwraith can stay on really well because there is an elastic band that holds the Ringwraith on. Also, his legs do bend. This is a great figure for those who want a good collection of evil beings.

  This would be a really cool toy, except Toy Biz has a manufacturing defect on all of the heads, making this action figure impossible to assemble. (The spring in the head has a defect) This is a real bummer, especially when this is such a rare find. They are aware of the this at Toy Biz, but have not manufactured any new figures or replacement parts!

• A grown-up's view ...
  From a collector's point of view, I really like this rider/beast figure. It comes in several pieces so you have to assemle it to its full wingspan and length. Very detailed, but I don't think its very durable in the wings because of the small connection to the body. Probably not a durable toy for youngsters. What's disappointing is the scale of the Nazgul rider compared to the beast. For a 7-inch black rider a properly scaled beast should be about 4 feet long. • A frustrating mess for you and your kids . . .
  A rare LOTR toy that is an utter piece of junk. It does not come preassembled, so you must (try to) attach the head and wings. The wings constantly fall out when moved, and the head will not snap into the hole supplied at all. The leg joints are too weak to support the weight of the body, so the thing constantly tips over. And -- although you get a wraith to ride it -- the wraith's legs do not bend, so he falls off. This is a complete waste of your $ that will frustrate you and your child. Don't buy it!
