Prehistoric Lego My son loved this. We only had a few minor problems getting the pieces to stay together for the arms. He was a bit disappointed that he only had enough to make the dinosaur and no other animals.
Excellent value for the money! The Lego designer series are such a blast for builders of all ages. This one is probably the best one of the bunch. Just look at the price-per-parts ratio! There are over 700 pieces to this monster. There are a lot of great pieces in here, that customizers are going to find very helpful for their own building projects. Lego fan's mom I bought this set for my 5 1/2 year old son. He's able to build all the dinosaurs with little help. He likes me to sit beside him and feed him the pieces. I agree with another reviewer about the T-rex, it fell apart upon completion. Fortunately, my son wasn't too distraught, he just built another dinosaur. A container to store all the pieces is a must. Overall, a great toy.
Pretty good.... My Lego obsessed son got this set last Christmas when he was 6 years old. He built the T Rex with very little help, but he had a lot of experience building other simpler Lego sets before and he understood the Lego instruction method. The set may be too difficult for a six or seven year old Lego neophyte to do on his own. The dinosaurs are very cool and my son loved them.
