not sturdy enough for us big guys Pretty handy little item, but not for the rough and tough ironing when you are pushing down hard to do a heavy garment.
Although the pad itself appeared well made, and doesn't need a cover (don't even know if you can buy one), the stand was flimsy. The metal frame was thin and didn't stand up to aggressive ironing without annoying movement (up and down). The board tended to have a "mushy" feel when pressing down hard. small ironing board I use this in combination with my floor ironing board because it's too short for large items but perfect for flat or small pieces. It is reasonably priced and portable.

great for someone in a small space The best thing is that it folds flat and can be kept in any room for touch ups. The iron bay at the end stores underneath for space conservation when not in use, but when in use it creates a safe and stable place for that ever-so-hot iron. I consider that option as an excellent safety feature. Extra padding would be good, and I do add padding to all of my boards.
