Professional Iron setup by Rowenta I bought this iron myself and then one of my daughters sent me the ironing board with the rack to hold it. I use them all the time with my sewing and quilting and just love them! What more can I say?
Finding this item My daughter has the DG-980 and it's the best way to do ironing. I love this product so much, that I actually go to her home and help her with the ironing. Rowenta discontinued the DG-980, and they replaced it with the DG5030. I recently purchased the new model DG5030 for my daughter-in-law and I was not impressed. I would like to get one for myself, but I will not get the new model. I know of a couple of friends who also purchased the new model and are not satisfied with it. Quit working-no support from Rowenta This iron was great for about a year, then it started to spit and leak water. It quit working soon after that. Rowenta just did not care-the warranty was for one year. The iron is too expensive to last just this long.
KEEP the Box - You'll need to RETURN it This is now my THIRD Rowenta Steam Generator Iron. After only 5 months, this one stopped working too. It gets quite expensive to keep returning these. If it's out of warranty, then the cost to repair is more than the cost of a new one. Oh, how I miss my Euro Pro......
