Radio-controlled helicopter that flies to heights over 50'
Hovers, accelerates, brakes and lands
Easy-to-pilot proportional controlpressure on the throttle raises heli higher
Rear rotor stabilizing steadies it for hovering, foam construction protects
Editorial Review:
Able to launch straight up to heights over 50', hover in place, accelerate and brake, this Air Hogs helicopter moves just like a real chopperall by radio control. It's easy to pilot and land with proportional control. Just hit the throttle, and the harder you press it, the higher the heli will go. A rear rotor stabilizing system steadies the helicopter in the air, while crash-resistant EPP foam construction prevents it from being damaged. Comes ready to fly with a controller, learn-to-fly video and a launch pad that doubles as a charger.
The lightweight, plastic propellers and a charcoal-and-silver foam body on this spy copter don't make it very sturdy, but it has an arsenal of "high performance specs" that should balance vulnerability with greater agility. A few of them include altitude and rotor speed indicators, a "flight stabilizing" system, and proportion control, all of which help lift up to 50 feet. Those features are considerate, but kids won't even care about those doodads once their bird takes flight. Of course, it's not very large (more like a grasshopper than a spy copter) but has lots of fun is packed into it. Plus, its quick-charging station doubles as a cool launch pad, complete with an input jack shaped like a fuel nozzle. Included: instructional video. Required, eight "C" batteries for launch pad; six "AA" batteries for remote control. Diane Beall

Fun.....No control This is great except for some flaws. There is no control, you just pull the trigger and let it wonder. The heli does fly very high though. Mine works perfectly after having it crash into trees and fal from about 50-60feet high! If you just want some fun and aren't raelly observing it and looking for the best thing its great. Otherwise I reccomend something different.
My 7-year-old was thrilled! Only downside to this was they would not ship to an APO. I am deployed and bought it for my son's birthday. He loved it. My 11 year old said he played with it all day and crashed it several times. What this does not say is that it is made from styrofoam, but it survived some hard days at play very well already. Durability is great. Difficult to handle, but 7 year old was able to learn and do it on his own. Highly recommend.
well... it flies... it does exactly what it says it does. it flies up and that's it. fun to see how far you can let it fall before recovering. also fun when it doesn't and hits the dirt from 30 ft. up. this heli is very durable(because the body is all foam). I don't however, have 8 D batteries just laying around for the charger, so i've had to scavenge and have never charged it with all new batteries. so now i'm not sure if the batteries in the charger are the problem or if the onboard battery is the problem. because i havent... more info
GREAT HELICOPTER My four year old son LOVE this. I was very impressed on how high it goes and how quickly you can regain control if it does get too high. The charging is very convenient as well, it is easy enough for even a smaller kid to hook it up right on the spot and the charge is ALOT quicker than the fly time...it flies for a good while. This is a great toy!
