No complaints - very pleased I've owned the mower for two years and have had no problems with it. It does take a bit of getting used to: you have to develop a feel for how much power the mower is pulling off of the battery, which I do by the sound and feel of the mower. This is only an issue if you are mowing unlevel ground, or thick grass. The mower will bog down easily in thick grass, and when it bogs, it uses a lot of juice. Money pit, and environmentally unfriendly As many others have noted, the batteries on this machine are horrible. This mower worked pretty well for 2 years, weakened dramatically by the third year, and couldn't cut warm butter by the fourth year. To add insult to injury, a certified Black and Decker service shop estimated the battery replacement cost at $200! Think about that - $400 to purchase and $200 every 3-4 years for new batteries. After 10 years you've spent nearly $1,000 on this mower and sent 100+ pounds of batteries to hazardous waste... more info
You will be delighted You will be delighted with this purchase. Very quiet, never a problem starting. Very good for lawns with lots of shade. The blades don't spin as fast as a gasoline powered engine so sometimes you have to go slow or cut narrower paths. Amazingly fast delivery. Not available in most stores.
WHY do I keep falling for Black & Decker products This worked for a few weeks. Had to have the battery replaced under warranty. Then, something in the circuitry went out...wouldn't/won't run. Tired of messing with it. Going to leave it on the sidewalk and hope someone steals it. Most of the other B& D lawn care tools I have bought in the past have also had similar failures... Get up one day, it won't run. Wiring problems (shabby assembly, really), mechanical glitches (cheap parts, really)... No more Black & Decker ANYTHING in my house... The new... more info
