A 360-degree rotatable head and positive-click nosepiece with three objectives (4x, 10x, 40x) round out the optical portion of the scope. Easy and functional. We purchased the microscope as a single birthday gift versus many little toys and my seven year old, inquisitive daughter not only learn how to use it quickly, she started hunting around for any sort of material; vegetable, insect, spore, the list goes on. How does it work was her next question, you can go in to the details with that...

Great specs. This scope has nearly the identical specifications to the one I bought for medical school 20 years ago. The optics are just wonderful. What amuses me is the fact that this scope costs 1/4 of what we all paid back then! For the high school, college or med student (not for anatomy though), this should do the trick nicely. For the anatomist, anatomy scopes should be available in the dissecting lab for that purpose.
