Probably as goos as anything you are going to make on it! Mine operates well, with minimum vibration, and everything works as well as it should. Love My Delta Lathe I am very pleased with my purchase of the Delta lathe. Everything is machined to a tight tolerance and the spindels line up perfectly. Heavy cast iron construction. I shopped locally and on line and this was the best price I could find. I do recommend buying the mobil base. Bob
