Perfect combo of aerobics and light weights! Despite Denise Austin's seeming inability to count properly or give cues, I still find her workouts far superior to anyone else's. This particular tape is fantastic! I consider myself to be in fairly good shape - intermediate level - but this tape has me sweating up a storm. Great Workout I consider myself an intermediate exerciser and I find this workout challenging. It is broken into circuits, with higher impact followed by some quick toning. I don't think the toning is enough to really build muscle, but the workout definitely gets my heart rate up. She doesn't use the step much, so if you are looking for a good step-aerobic workout--look elsewhere. efficient overall workout I've been working out with Denise's videos for years. This one is her best in terms of real cardio and toning. I like to alternate this one, which is very high impact, with cycling, the elliptical, or running (also high impact but better cardio). The moves are derived from sports, i.e., basketball, skiing, skating -- nothing "dancey."
Upside: efficient in terms of getting your heart rate up and toning arms (especially triceps) in under 45 minutes.
