Editorial Review:
Are you looking for a pressure washer with enough power to handle everyday chores--such as power-washing your deck, sidewalk, patio, grill, car, or boat--but without the hassles associated with larger, commercial-grade, gas-powered units? The Karcher K520M electric pressure washer may provide the answer. Powered by a 120-volt, 60 Hz induction motor, the K520M offers adjustable pressure, with a maximum output of 1,600 psi at a rate of 1.8 gallons per minute. While this might not be enough for some commercial applications, such as stripping the paint from an entire house, it more than suffices for everyday, at-home chores. As the world's leading manufacturer of high-pressure washers, Karcher has put a lot of care into this unit's design. The K520M weighs only 27.5 pounds (without accessories) and is mounted on two wheels for easy transport. The pump is borrowed from Karcher's professional line of pressure washers and can draw water from a standing source if a spigot is not available. Power to the washer is controlled by a trigger gun. Just releasing the trigger shuts it down. The included 25-foot high-pressure hose and power spray wand provide flexibility for your cleaning chores. A corrosion- and impact-resistant cover protects the motor and pump assembly, a garden-hose connector with external water filter eliminates debris, and a child safety lock prevents the trigger from accidentally engaging when not in use.

Not worth your money or time After much research I purchased this pressure washer and an extended warranty due to the general unreliable nature of electric pressure washers. As it turned out, I didn't even need an extended warranty. After less than 6 months and 10 hours of use, the machine quit working completely. After speaking to Karcher, I took the unit to an authorized service center as instructed, and was told the motor was locked up and I was to call Karcher and get my pressure washer replaced. Already I have made over a dozen... more info

Superb! I returned my Porter-Cable PCE1700 as it kept refusing to restart, and bought this, on recommendation by a local dealer who sells only power washers. I was very keen to purchase one of his gas units at over twice the price, but, having heard what I wanted it for (deck, car, drive) he said that this was all I needed. I had cleaned only 1/2 of my deck with the Porter-Cable, over a 5 day very long week-end, and was able to clean the entire deck, effortlessly, within an hour with this. The machine is... more info
Powerful but unreliable The pressure is more than adequate for my needs (cleaning up my driveway, deck, tiles)... when it works. The hose keeps disconnecting because of the badly designed and flimsy plastic piece that fits onto the pressure washer. Also, the machine completely looses pressure from time to time, and needs a minute to recover. This is despite following carefully all the instructions (3/4" hose, power outlet etc...). This is a piece of junk, compared to the machines that Karcher used to make a few years ago.
