playing for 3 years and counting Bought this toy (or rather the version they had then) for my daughter when she was 2. She played with it for years and is now playing with her 2-year old brother. They managed to rip the plastic scenery (arguing on who got to play with it) and tear apart some of the palm trees, he also cracked one of the volcanoes by jumping off the bed and straight on it, but the dinosaurs have survived all sorts of mishandling and rough play. FANTASTIC!!! I gave this to my 2 yr old nephew for his birthday last mth -- he couldn't stop screaming he was so excited when he saw it. His 4yr old brother & he can't get enuf! The video of him opening it just makes my heart burst with joy -- the utter rapture across that boys face will stay with me a life time! Enough good can't be said! I can't praise this product without stepping on the toes of 40 other reviews! I'll just say that my 5 year old daughter is a BIG dinosaur buff and she knows her stuff. She has the nature videos, the books, the everything! and she thinks this set is A-Okay. She loves setting up "dinosaur land" with the bright colored mat that comes with, too. My 2 year old son, who is not the "paleontologist" that my daughter is also loves playing with these cool dinosaurs.
An amazing gift! We got this for our son's third birthday. He knows the dinosaurs' real names and he and his older sister will play with these for hours! I love how they are sized and that they have their own storage bin... Except for throwing away the boulders, which fit neatly into a three year old's mouth and can also kill your feet when stepped on, we have enjoyed everything about this toy! Well worth the money, very much recommended, and I have already told 5 other mothers about them!
