Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber host another winning episode in this Christian-lite animated series aimed at 3-9 year olds, combining parable and parody in two lessons about fear. After watching a scary Frankencelery movie, Jr. Asparagus works through his fears of darkness and monsters to learn that "God is bigger than the Boogie Man." In Daniel and the Lions' Den, our cast of rollicking vegetables performs a highly engaging adaptation of the classic Bible story. Larry the Cucumber stars as God's humble and faithful servant Daniel. A supporting cast of green onions and asparagus--wisemen gone bad--sing their way to Daniel's fate: "We could use him as a footstool or a table to play Scrabble on then tie him up and beat him up and throw him out of Babylon." Co-creators Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki expertly combine classical, rock, jazz, and funk music with bold, energetic 3-D computer animation and plenty of witty dialogue. --Liane Thomas

Numero Uno VeggieTales this first in the Veggie series was produced on an absolute shoe-string...copies were being made on an as-needed basis as orders came in, and the animation shows that. but! you can't go wrong with three great songs (God is bigger than the boogie-man, the water buffalo song, and oh no!) that stick in your head. you will find yourself singing them just as often as you catch your kids singing them.
the "monsters" jumping out of junior's drawers and the visit by frankencelery allow for a look at... more info
To scary for 3 years old I think for a Christian movie, it gives a good idea about the stories in the Bible. Although, some of your movies are becaming disturbing and it has caracters or scenes that should not be in a Christian kids movie.
Other than that most of your movies are the best think I could find for my kid. For what it is out there is just, incredable.
Stories with Morals are wonderful. I wish I had this video as a kid because it would have saved me from having to check under my bed to look for the boogie monster. The guys at Big Idea are my heroes because they address issues that are really important to kids. This is their first video ever and it still looks great. I would highly recommend it for anyone's children.
Great Movie Recently bought it for a birthday present. Was not disapointed and was a big hit. Fast shipping and no problems.
