Great book....and I don't even like Motley Crue. I found myself at Barnes & Noble today, as I do on most Sundays, just browsing. I headed over to the "music" section to see if they had any good instructional books for guitar or piano. I saw the cover for "The Heroin Diaries" and remembered a friend had mentioned it about a year ago. I picked it up, flipped through the magazine-like pages and read a few excerpts. Crazy but Sad Mötley Crüe was my favorite band growing up. Tommy and Nikki were my idols into my teenage years. I went to see them play every time they were on tour from Shout at the Devil - Dr.Feelgood. I remember seeing them in Charlotte NC on the Girls tour when GNR opened for them,and Slash had a neck brace on while playing. This book takes place right at that time and explains a lot. Great book...Great seller This book is amazing. When I told my parents and my family I was reading it, they all looked at me like I was on drugs. But then I explained to them what the book was about and the reason for reading it, and they lightened up. I think everyone should read it to see what drugs do to you and how even trying to quit can affect you.
WOW. I got this book for Christmas yesterday, and I read it last night , in one sitting. I literally was not able to put it down. For a rock star of this magnitude, to open up a year of his diary entires to his fans, is truly remarkable. What is even more remarkable, is that he made it through that year alive, and is still alive to this day.
